Kath works in Private Practice. In the past she has worked for several years under an NHS contract, seeing GP referrals. This contract merged to become an IAPT (Independent Access to Psychological Therapies) contract.

Kath is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing) with EMDRWORKS accredited by EMDR Europe Association. This technique is approved by NICE as an effective treatment for PTSD and Complex Trauma.

Kath has worked in a Therapeutic School for teenagers with Special needs. The teenagers may have had autism and autistic traits such as Asperger’s.

She is experienced in working with Loss and Bereavement having trained with the Charity Cruse Bereavement. She has a great deal of experience of working with Sexual Abuse having trained with CARA (Centre for Action on Rape and Abuse) in Colchester. She also worked at a College of Further Education Counselling teenagers.

She is experienced working for Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs) working in a Solution Focused way for Short term therapy.

She is also a Qualified Couples Counsellor having trained in Couples Counselling at CCPE in London.
